Classroom Rules and Procedures
Cell phone policy: The PMHS Student Handbook states: Cell phones are not to be seen during class unless directed by the teacher to be used in an academic capacity.
First offense: I will take your phone and give it back at the end of class.
Second offense: Parent Notification
Third offense: Phone will be taken to the office.
Late work policy: If work is late, you will be referred for after school detention. Five points deducted for each day late, weekends included.
Other classroom procedures:
When the bell rings, please be seated and prepared to work. Bring pencil/pen and paper to class each day – textbooks as assigned. Do not ask to go back to your locker after the tardy bell rings.
Begin bell work if assigned.
No food or drink when computers are in use. It is your responsibility to clear your seating area at the end of each class.
On my cue, transition to main class lesson. Main objective will be posted on the board.
Stay on task. If you finish your work and other students are still working, you may read or work on classwork/homework for other classes. Go ahead and bring this work with you.
Be respectful of teacher and other students by limiting class disruptions.
Extra credit: NONE! Do your work as assigned and this won’t be necessary.
Extra help: Just ask!!! I am always willing to work with students or line you up with a tutor.
